On May 17th we will have the opening of an exhibition where we collaborated for almost a year.

It’s called Impressions by New Perspectives with the Isidore Newman School of New Orleans, The Mexican Cultural Institute, and the Hispanic Heritage Foundations.

The first phase of the program we created was an exhibition at the school's gallery in October of last year and we brought to the school 5 Latin-American artists. 2 Mexicans, 1 Colombian artist and 2 Cubans, and the five of them worked very closely with the children giving talks and workshops and visiting classrooms.

They answered questions about their life, what is the meaning of the art that they are working on, etc.

When the program was done, they started working or their own works of art.

This May 17th was the end of that year-long program by exhibiting the art the Newman students created inspired the Latin-American art.

The exhibition will run from May 17th to June 29th here at the Mexican Cultural Institute.
